Greg worked as a writer of award-winning short films, documentaries and corporate videos from 1985 to 2012. Since 2003, he’s run his online script development business, Script Central, as a development consultant and script editor. He’s been a script consultant to Australian Film funding bodies and the AWG for 25 years. Greg has taught screenwriting at UTS, Macquarie University, AFTRS, and Writing NSW.

He has assessed over 3,000 scripts and worked as a script editor on dozens of projects, most recently the feature films ‘ Shayda’, ( 2023 Audience Award at Sundance Film Festival) ‘Moon Rock for Monday’ (screened 2020-21) and ‘Escape and Evasion’ screened on Netflix, 2021.

PAST/PRESENT PROJECTS

Greg is the Author of two published rural crime novels, ‘The Night Whistler’ (2020) and “The Carnival Is Over’ (2022). The Night Whistler was shortlisted for the 2023 Ned Kelly Award for Best Debut Crime Fiction. The Night Whistler has been optioned for a 6-part mini-series by a major TV production company, for which he recently wrote the pilot. Greg has also written a dark/Vampire noir novel, ‘This Immortal Thing’ and a stand-alone crime thriller “The Murder Tree’.
